General Pacific Engineering Inc. is a self-made general engineering contracting corporation. Formed in Sacramento, we serve all of California. Qualified and team ready to pursue any project that would protect, restore, rebuild, remediate the community and environment. With good leadership, sound management, experienced journeymen and a qualified crew, is only the beginning to what our team can complete. We work with and alongside our clients, government and regulatory, as well as commercial entities, to satisfy their goals and achieve high quality results. It is our priority and core value to deliver to our clients, reliability, a project on budget, on schedule, regulatory and safety, quality workmanship and lastly a project, finished and delivered.

Frank (Sonny) Duarte,

Founder & President

Sonny (Frank) Duarte is the founder and president for General Pacific Engineering Inc. A resident of Sacramento, CA. Though his roots are homegrown in Hawaii. After three decades of working as a journeymen, managing, leading crews in the construction, trucking, excavation, earthmoving, residential home building, waterways industry, Sonny believed that all these combined gave him the years knowledge and experience to generate and lead his own force in the industry and that it was time to pursue it. So he achieved his (A) general engineering contractor license. Soon after was offered a contract with ECC as a sub-contractor cleaning up the wildfire debris in Ukiah. Completing this project in full as a sole proprietor he then moved to incorporating. His passion is always creating new ways to make things more productive and more purposeful. He stands by a saying his grandpa always told him. “There is no such thing as no can.” Where there's a will, there is ALWAYS a way.

Here at GPE safety is an absolute priority and is never compromised. Safety standards as well as performance becomes part of our company's culture. It is a shared responsibility between company and employees. Carrying through any project we are invested in, it is part of the quality in our workmanship standards. We are dedicated to protecting the health and safety of our employees as well as the surrounding community. Daily safety meetings begin the workday at the project site.
